As pledge companies and organizations continue to make strides on diversifying their leadership structures, this platform will share the challenges, opportunities, unique insights and best practices identified by our business community. We welcome dialogue with partners, advocates, academics and industry experts as we seek to advance the essential work of creating a more inclusive and equitable workplace for all.

Chance to Transform Silicon Valley
PLEDGE
25X25
Pledge 25x25 challenges Silicon Valley and Bay Area companies to increase their diversity in business leadership by setting a goal of filling 25% of executive positions with hires from underrepresented groups by 2025 or pledging that the number of underrepresented individuals in leadership roles will increase by at least 25% by 2025.
25x25 sets a comprehensive blueprint for participating companies to diversify leadership as a business imperative while also operationalizing cultural change.
Companies that take the 25x25 pledge commit to at least one of the following actions:
MEASURING
Collect and monitor internal metrics, providing diversity information and progress toward meeting Pledge 25x25 commitments annually.
EDUCATING
Provide employee training annually to foster inclusion and reduce unconscious bias, with best practices disseminated publicly.
FUNDING
Commit to increasing resources for funding and/or community engagement in support of underrepresented groups and the expansion of minority pipelines.
WHY DIVERSITY MATTERS NOW
A growing body of research shows that a diverse workforce—in areas including race, ethnicity, gender, ability, age, religion, veteran status, work styles, and experience—can make organizations better in every way, from employee satisfaction to the bottom line. Employers of the future recognize that enhanced creativity and innovation result from an organization's commitment to multiple perspectives.
